What Happened to May?

 Hello Blog,
How are you? Good I hope. I don't know where May has gone. Literally. It was like a blink of an eye and it was gone. The following are the few highlights from May as told by my Iphone camera.

First boomy went to the spa (petco) and got all pretty. He glistens in the sun.
Then I experimented with a new recipe, compliments of Kraft. The following is Lemon Italian Chicken with Noodles. I used extra veggies and extra Italian Dressing, no yolk egg noodles and I made it twice in 1 week. Delicious I highly recommend.
Then, sick of getting another sandwich from the closest food place at school I wandered down memory lane. I found myself at the Grab and Go "Fresh Express" right next to my sophomore year dorm. I got a fantastic salad and of course, mac and cheese. I don't think Fresh ever tasted so good. It made me think about all the good times I had that year and great friends I made. And how much I love mac and cheese.
Then, I finally got Alex back from the law school monster. We enjoyed a fancy dinner in of tuna steaks, wild rice with mushrooms, coleslaw and biscuits   Boom liked it too, liking our plates clean. If there is one think Alex and I mutually enjoy its good food, we will have to be careful to not get very fat if we continue to dine together for years to come.

Now its memorial day weekend. Boomer is back in Cleveland. Alex is visiting a friend in California. I am here. Trying to be motivated to finish my mounds of homework, eating a hand tossed ham and pineapple pizza, in bed, cause I can. Hopefully June won't go by so fast.

Discovered: French Press Knits

Its a rainy day...again. And I have a lot on my mind. Naturally I am goofing around the internet instead of doing my work. OMG I am inspired again. The blog French Press Knits is amazing. I have expensive hobbies. The few things that have majorly caught my eye.

All photos compliments of http://frenchpressknits.blogspot.com/
This Magenta Shrug. I have no idea who the girl is wearing it but I like her sweater.
OMG can I have this. I love this. I really like the yellow but the buckeye in me thinks I should change it to scarlet. I wish I had the time and dollars to spend on this masterpiece.
Hahaha. I don't want to make this. I don't even know a baby girl to put them on. I do however think they are very funny thus I have to show them to you.
I hope in my future home I have a room that I can decorate like this. With buttons in mason jars. And crates of yarn. And ideas on the corkboards. A Flat screen on the wall (whats the best thing to do while knitting = watching hours of TV).
These are the things I like today. But for now ill have to tinker with them in my head since I have 5 papers to worry about and countless pages to read. Almost done with school is not as comforting as being done with school.

Lemon Risotto

I don't have much to say today other than Lemon Risotto is fantastic and not that hard to make. If you want Rachel Ray's recipe let me know.
Only other thing I have to say today is that Boomer is strange. I think he is mad at me but I am not sure why.

Nom Nom Nom

I really enjoy eating way to much. Luckily I enjoy cooking as well (with the exception of yesterday's fiasco) so its not always a problem. Now if only I had unlimited time and money to dedicate to the things I love then wouldn't life be grand. In the mean time I will blog the things I fantasize about eating today.

I did not cook any of these and I give credit the the websites I took these from.

1) Hawaiian  BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwhich
http://thepioneerwoman.com/tasty-kitchen-blog/2011/04/hawaiian-bbq-pulled-chicken-sandwiches/
I don't really like BBQ that much but I love pineapple and I love slow cooker recipes. I would like one of these and a side of broccoli salad.

2) Via Cappucino Muffins
http://thepioneerwoman.com/tasty-kitchen-blog/2011/03/step-by-step-via-cappuccino-muffins/
OMG. I love muffins. I love chocolate. I love coffee. A little frosting for breakfast never hurt anyone right??

3) Chicken Noodle Soup Casserole
http://thepioneerwoman.com/tasty-kitchen-blog/2011/03/step-by-step-chicken-noodle-soup-casserole/
The first and last time I have chicken noodle soup casserole was at Buckeye Express (Buck Yuck as it was called around the dorm) during the fall quarter of my freshman year. I got a late dinner after band practice let out and this was the entree that day. Now I hate life fall quarter freshman year for reason unnecessary to disclose, and this was the best dinner ever. So awesome that 5 years later I remember. I bet this is better than Buck Yuck's version.

4) Mystery Mocha
Can you say chocolate heaven...nuff said

5) Panko Crusted Green Beans with a Soy Garlic Aioli
I guess I should kick it back and try to fantasize about healthy food. In my head these taste like french fries. I hope they taste as good in real life.

That is enough fantasizing for now. Ill go eat some leftovers.
